The Original Concert

Originally airing on December 3, 1968, the concert was Elvis Presley’s first live TV performance in seven years, and saw him playing with a full band in front of a small audience of diehard fans.

The special has been credited with pioneering the 'unplugged' performance style, with an intimate acoustic set.

Elvis performed a mixture of classic hits such as 'Hound Dog' and 'Love Me Tender', along with then-new songs including 'A Little Less Conversation' and 'If I Can Dream'.
